Agree. I find effective to use a toothbrush to brush it off, followed by siphoning out as much of the dislodged stuff as possible. It may come back a few times, but eventually will be forgotten.

What is it you are fighting? Minor water discoloration? It is harmless! Water changes will gradually solve it. Nothing to do, nothing to solve. What kind of fish do you have/want to keep? Most fish don’t mind it and many like it.

The snail does not transmit ich. However, any water with the snail, even trapped inside can contain ick larvae. Placing the snail in another tank prior to at least 10 days past recovery from ick in a tank is a risk.

Not diatoms nor algae. That is a miss, similar to Java moss.
