I love snails but our water is too soft and they don’t survive. Probably about to jinx myself but never had a problem with pest snails, it’s hard enough keeping the one I do have alive.

I think empty snail shells add to the beauty of the tank, not for the snails though obs. However, that may just be me lol.

Thanks Gary. I suppose my dislike it after a batch of dwarf hatchets that caused carnage in my tank years ago. I also should probably ask the LFS who they use for fish so I know they are ethically caught if wild caught. How I’d know that I’m not sure, but google can probably help on that...

Anyone used this? Is it any good? I hate killing my fish but have another diamond head with swim bladder disease (never buying another diamond head tetra again), found aqua-sed on amazon, a fish anaesthetic, thought that might be a good way to knock them out before killing them.
