I see....they may have feeding regiments that don't require sand-sifting, but why alter a fish's natural behavior? Seems odd to me...

Welcome to TFF. Agree with the above, forget that chart you posted and follow the cycling link provided. As for the Stress Coat, it "contains the healing power of Aloe Vera", which doesn't "heal" but actually harms fish...replace it with either Seachem Prime, or API Tap Water Conditioner...

How long have the deceased fish been in there? For them to be as decomposed as they sound, I'm guessing a pretty long time...I'd check the ammonia levels in that tank

All of the "skirt" tetras are known to be aggressive & nippy, especially when kept in inadequate numbers (less than 10)
