    Pygmy corydoras stocking

Hi. Is the stocking suggestion for pygmy corydoras same as the usual for base dimensions? I have a cube, which i know is not good dimension for most fish, because it limits the space. It is 40x40x40 cm which makes it a little better than a 13 gallon, maybe 14. I purchased 10 pygmy corydoras...

How to make a tank better for a hillstream loach

I bought an airstone, just in case, and two more sewellia lineolata. The one I have remaining is a female, the two new one seem like males. They are not hiding since being added on sunday, which I consider a good sign. I fed unmade repashy ( powder to the tank directly) today and all three are...

Strange, every site and breeder reference says they are voracious egg eaters. I can attest thet do not exhibit any aggression toward the fry nor the older fry to the younger. Not sure about the oldest to the youngest, but otherwise they all coexist. One the other hand I have them in a 54liter so...

You say this every time, but you are not correct. You should say they *may* eat *most* of the eggs. For example luminatus breed inside the moss that I have floating in the tank and a 5cm large rabbit snail cannot float in the mid air to eat it from the moss, they are simply too heavy. Also, I...

    Tank improvement

Oh and I have springtails or smth hoping on the surface. One would assume the killifish would eat it, and maybe they do reduce the population.

I also have bunch of rabbit snails in this tank that breed as well, I assume their poop is full of infusoria as well for the babies. But I do feed heavily to avoid adult predation too

Omg so do that, they are awesome and I am lately recommending them left and right I bought 10 pseudomugil luminatus, aka the neon blue eye, I think the "red" variant and they are awesome, interesting, colorful and breed on their own. Can you spot the fry? I know it is not very good image, they...

    Tank improvement

Hi Overall I like this tank, but I am fighting debris on the sand, algae in the roots, mess in the roots and have to do quite often cleanups, because I overfeed and need advice on how to reduce/help for the future Issue is with Clown killifish tank 56cmx25cmx36cm - 40l Since August I have three...

    Pearl gourami - gills

So I decided to go for the pearl gourami (because honey were not available at the sellers), they are at home, in the quarantine. They act very funnily, but I am concerned about one of the gills. It is a bit opened and it seems a bit more red than the others, but the fin is right next to the gill...

Trigonostigma Hengeli, does anyone have experience keeping these fish? (Also known as glowlight rasboras)

Anyways, with this pH the honey gourami, and most likely the rasboras wont appreciate it. You might have better luck with Neoheterandria elegans or rabbit snails. Not with that substrate though :)

Trigonostigma Hengeli, does anyone have experience keeping these fish? (Also known as glowlight rasboras)

At some point, when I started fishkeeping, I had hengeli in astonishing 16 pieces in 54 liters (dont judge me, was in the beginning). half of the tank was a massive anubias, light was not very bright but they would hang around, in one spot, as a group. I kept them with a betta for a while and I...

Tank is missing something, but what

Thank you! My light does not support red plants, nor do I have rich substrate. Regarding the color this picture doesnt show it, but for this exact reason I bought a group of normal colored minnows ,so I have a mixture of gold and the normal, which have nice purple hue. It did improve things a...

    Which gourami to pick

Thank you. The tank is even 60cm high, they should almost never meet. But my bolivian rams are completely docile, never hurt any of my fish, they just chase them away, even when guarding eggs/fry

    Which gourami to pick

I am wondering if gouramis are a good fit for my "south american tank". I know, I would be breaking biotope, but my asian tank is cold water and the SA tank is 26 degrees and they would enjoy the temp more. 120x50x60cm, here is a low light picture before maintenance, one from the back of the...

    Clown killifish tank

Managed to get the fry on the video, is growing up nicely. Seems like there is only one fry there, though for weeks I assumed there is nothing so who knows. I did a maintenance on the roots after I took this picture, cut them a bit above the substrate cause this is just too much
