    Weaning fish

what type of fish? you can go like a day or 2 without feeding if they reject it so they get hungry and will try out other food and once you have a few fish in the tank that aren't picky, other fish will slowly learn to try out new foods

    New Tank Setup

if you want to cycle a tank faster, use old plants or plants that are in a pet store rather than tissue cultures in the little containers I also think that comets wont fit in a 55 gallon only smaller gold fish if its easy to bring water, you should bring like a 5 gallon of old water to help...

Thinking of getting this for outside...

yep, a liner is helpful and made for fish as well. i used a liner for a leaky wine barrel and it looks great. sometimes its better to be deeper, because at least over here, the sun is directly shining with no clouds and it gets to around more than 100 degrees, so the water could be a buffer to...

Am I allowed to post my youtube channel?

I know that im allowed to post videos in a thread about something else, but I'm wondering if I am allowed to post a thread about just the channel itself. all of it is related to fish things, and I am far from monetization, I just want to share some of the videos I made\

    Carnivorous plants update

yep! I tried to make the brine shrimp in the mush stay intact so it could eat some "real bugs" do you think meal worms would work? there are some in our compost piles that look pretty juicy from all the fresh veggies we give them

    Dracena plant

I think plants that can flower while all their leaves are underwater are suited for submerging and can live a long time. even anubias which is not fully aquatic can flower underwater which is pretty cool thats cool! i wonder if one plant can be half in water and half on land.

    Carnivorous plants update

Hello everyone! As some of you may know, around more than a year ago i purchased a small venus flytrap. i put it in full sun and now it is vibrant red and not leggy anymore. what species or strain is this flytrap, and how do i split the little babies into their own pot? I also recently...

    "Building" an aquarium

hello, i have a similar filter to this one and it is very versatile and mods are very easily applied. just put it inside the tank. only downside is it is hard to clean with floaters

Under gravel filtration using a sand substrate...

mts is malaysian trumpet snail. i should've used it with context from earlier lol i'm convinced it might work now, i hope for the best! after all there isnt much to lose, and scuds are pretty hardy as well
  32. Sgooosh

Under gravel filtration using a sand substrate...

that's a good point. perhaps you could also get mts in the tank (if scuds dont hurt them) you could also have an undergravel air pump to loosen it 24 7 im not concerned about sand blocking the mesh, just the sand itself being a medium that water flows so slowly through
  33. Sgooosh

    Dracena plant

I agree, if you still want the plants t be in the tank, just don't let the leaves touch the water only the stems.*not my photo
  34. Sgooosh

Under gravel filtration using a sand substrate...

since sand is so thin, it will easily block the small holes of the mesh and still make it hard for the filter to work. i use a giant power filter with tiny fish and to solve the issue of baby fish and snails getting sucked in i just put sponges on the outside of the filter. easier to clean as...
