    Blue green slime survey

Agree for the fullest. Especially mentioning the deficiency instead of the pollution as a cause.

    Blue green slime survey

Think there are several species of cyano bacteria. The ones in rivers and lakes are different types than the ones occuring in tanks. Some of the first are highly poisoness vs less poisoness tank variaties. As mentioned the inbalance in a new tank often cause them to appear and take over.

Do not use anti-biotics unless you know what the problem is.

In fact fish are the best animals to bring the aquabrands profits. Meds (including antibiotics) are used by people who don't have any knowledge about them nor the usage. In case fish die "we were too late" and when fish recover it was the med. The brands are only accountable for the...

    Ick on bristlenose

Besides the fact that I don't understand a thing you're posting I think the way you're reacting on answers of and post by other members is quite weird. If it wasn't Ich why did you raise the temp and ask what others think ? You'te first taking action on assumptions and then ask other members...

    UK Black outs

Isn't it an idea to buy a battery powered airpump ? Letting a spongefilter allready run in the tank which you can switch to the battery powered one when needed.

    How much to feed bristlenose

I don't get the post. Feed the BN't a variated diet. They are omnivores and need vegs, bloodworms, etc as well. They can't only live on algaewafers.

    Feeling Discouraged 😞

Don't rinse the filtermedia after such a small amount if time, but it is fairly impossible you killed all the bacteria (if you didn't change fiktermedia) I seriously doubt the nitrate test is correct. It is quite unlogical you've nitrates first and they'll disappear. The bloom is caused by a...

    Corydoras eye cloudy!

Personally I think it is a bacterial issue. Don't know what triggered the infection but eye problems could point towards a onesided diet and the lack of certain minerals / vitamins. Doesn't mean it is caused in your tank btw. Another possibility could be the eye is damaged by the substrate...

Corydoras aeneus (bronze Corys) in the wild

Corys definitely like (and maybe I'd say need) flowing water. Let's put it differently : A lot.of.issues with Corys occure in stagnant water. In most of my tanks I use a wavemaker / pump for that reason.

Can I use Kanaplex with API fin and body cure?

I think "synergistic" isn't the right word in these cases. In case of an unknown cause / infection people tend to use a mix of meds / antibiotics cause maybe they'll "hit" something (and cure the infection). So infact shooting a shotgun. This in fact is why "general meds" (even sometimes with...

    Ick treatment bad for cory?

That last assumption isn't correct. Higher temps upto 86F fasten the lifecycle of Ich and in fact make it easier for the parasite to infect fish (they multiply faster). This is exact the reason why some meds require such a raise (cause they'll be earlier in a treatable stage of their life)

First Angelfish - fungal treatment didn't help. What to do?

I doubt it resembles and even doubt it is a fungus. I think it is bacterial or an outcome of an Hexamita infection (seems to have more issues along the lateral line)
