Wow , after reading this and doing some research I’ve discovered a new fear

I’ve always just swapped the cartridges and have never had any problems. When I swap them (every month or a little longer) I just let it drain onto the new one. Always has worked for me.

Bumping this up because I went camping over the weekend , my buddy came and fed my bichir just 1 pellet each ( they usually eat 3-4) I came home and she was bloated again , I’m starting to worry it’s dropsy.

So my wife bought shrimp off Amazon “without my knowledge we have 3 blue ones left out of 25 after about 2 months. They have been in my live bearer tank , they have grown and are doing well. Will I be able to expect baby shrimp anytime soon ? Blue makes it very hard for pictures of course
