I've nothing to add other than to mention you should ask for a refund from whoever has sent you these fish that you a. Didn't seem to ask for and b. Appear to be in poor condition.

Gourami and betta shouldn't be kept together due to their territorial natures, I'd get him back in his other tank ASAP. I know more space sounds good but it could end in tears with those two as tank mates, which I know is far from your intention when you rescued him.

What do you mean by getting sucked into the filter? Do you know what kind of filter you have, it could be overpowered for your tank and causing problems. Did you cycle the tank before adding the fish and do you know your current water parameters?

What kind of gravel do you have? All cories need a sand substrate so that would be my first step. They do like to just chill on the substrate when they're resting so that on its own may not be a concern. Perhaps change out the gravel and see how they recover before getting any more. I think...

Do you know the age of your betta? It may be that he's reaching the end of his natural lifespan. Also you mention that it's like he can't see his food, you could try using a pipette to drop the food right in front of his mouth to see if he can get it.

Water change completed and tank medicated first thing this morning. Positively the pandas seem a bit more perky but given the initial symptoms and concerns I still wanted to treat it.

If you weren't able to quarantine the new fish before you added them and are now seeing deaths then the most likely guess (and I emphasise it's just a guess) is that the new fish may have introduced something to the tank. I don't know if the injury to the stomach indicates a parasite or not...
