That's fine. You don't have children or grandchildren to let the bird out. Or turn the fan on and surprise surprise. I no longer keep birds, they take more time and attention than I have to give. So when I catch one at my feeder I cage it for a bit and find it a home if I can't find the owner...

    What are you doing today?

I don't clip my chickens wings, but I've caught a couple of lost cockatiels and never found their owner. I lost my first, and learned to calmly trim wings on later birds

    What are you doing today?

My solution to water snakes is a minnow trap hung along the edge of the pond, they get in they can't find their way out. Then relocate or exterminate as you choose. I usually relocate to the drainage creek that doesn't border my yard. They eat my frogs, which I don't like but they also eat...

    What are you doing today?

I had to sell my daughter her supra back to get my garage back so I could bring the lawnmower thru from the back. It is organized hoarding, built a shelf sort of last week, used a piece of plywood and blocks and 2x6's that needed out of the floor, to get the wood up. My dog went crazy when he...

Have they discovered where bacteria magically appear from yet?

Tetra nitrate kits are more accurate than API, IMHO. More expensive but if I'm going to bother to test, especially on a reef, I want the best.

    2 bloated fish

There were 3, the one the backyard pond arrived a bit over a year ago with bloat, her death yesterday prompted the pond cleanout, had to find her body. I was going to move her to the wading pool with the other bloated goldfish and a bloated small koi. All are eating well. I suspected egg...

    What are you doing today?

I was going to go see some more grandkids with the one that is staying with me, but her cousin had things to do, and my bloated goldfish died in the backyard pond - well was missing, so we went out and drained it from the top (which is the filter and found the body and tidied up a bit. She got...

    Goldfish turning black!

my pond goldfish are all black when they first hatch and gradually most of them turn orange or orange and white. (eating bugs mean they are almost red when I say orange) But once in a while one stays black or black on top. I don't mind, I just feed the fish

wow... these look incredible... trying to look beyond TB

sterilize your hose after. Is there any kind of a dip the pothos would live thru that would kill the tb?

wow... these look incredible... trying to look beyond TB

Not anymore. That ws 2020. The gouramis just gradually stayed at the bottom of the tank, the neons looked melted, it started with them. Fish that were in with them showed no symptoms, i moved them to the 55 and except for plecos and guppies i gradually lost the tank. i may have notes or photos...

wow... these look incredible... trying to look beyond TB

I was working with a lab that develops fish medicines who told me it was incurable. But i bought meds and tried combinations and while neon tetra disease can be treated, all treatments seem to basically fail. the tank becomes infected, gravel, surfaces, filters, add clean fish, get sick fish...

wow... these look incredible... trying to look beyond TB

I hope your white spot isn't what I couldn't beat in 2020 - didn't help that goldfish in an aquarium got it and they don't like heat. However if TB and neon tetra disease have anything in common, both being pretty much incurable, The first tank I infected with neon tetra disease was also the...

    my flowers

the japanese honeysuckle are all over the US. I raise native plants for the Native Plant Society of Texas, because they are tougher, they take less water and are surviving our extreme weather much better. I lost all my azaleas and half my hydrangeas last year, and i don't even try most of what...

    What are you doing today?

What I did today, so far. dug up goose grass in my rock hard pond area and bagged for the city to pick up on Friday. what is goose grass? something that came in a load of dirt and I was foolish and mowed scattering seed in several areas. Cleared a spot in the garage, brought in cinder blocks...

Have they discovered where bacteria magically appear from yet?

The bigger and more popular the company the less likely I am to buy their products, as popularity goes up quality goes down. I use Fritz Professional chlorine remover in the ponds I work on for others as well as my own aquariums. Unlike Prime it can't be overdosed. Since I don't know what the...
