I think it is carbon in the bag. The white thing looks like a scratchy pad that you do the washing up with lol. I've seen you can buy filter sets for the filter online, would that be worth it? Or is it just the same as how you fill yours?

It's the 2213, I've put some pics below of the stuff inside the canister. The white net stuff looks ok just a bit dirty but the other stuff ( looks like something in a pair of tights lol) looks like it needs replacing

They are really loving the tank, coming out a lot and enjoying the java moss. My ones are quite quick, the guppies try to get them all the time but they soon get out of the way. Even the babies manger to escape the guppy mouths lol

The blue tiger shimp are truly settled in now, they have made friends with the baby cherry shrimp :)

I've got my cherry shrimp in a different tank to the blue rili shrimp for that exact reason :)

I got them from eBay, there is only two sellers on there that sell them    Yep it was Ebay blackops, the seller was very helpful and genuine as well, I would recommend them as a seller for sure :)

ive got a bamboo shrimp as well that lives with the cherry shrimp and blue tiger shrimp.   i done a bit of research before i got the blue tiger shrimp and it says that they wont interbreed with the cherrys. I've just had a look on google for that type of shrimp and it looks very similar, even the babies that I've got in my tank look like the sunkist shrimp

thats some good advice, i will see if i can find out, ive acually got some cherry shrimp in the same tank and some are real deep red whereas others are a lot less red.

they arrived all safe and well! i ordered 4 but the seller very kindly sent 2 extra just in case! they are lovely little guys and hopefully they will settle in well and start to multiply :)

I have just brought some dark green neon shrimp and some blue rili shrimp. The man at the shop told me that they can live together in the same tank and won't breed with each other just the ones of the same type. Does anyone know if this is true?

I had a huge outbreak of diatoms a few weeks ago. I chucked a few malaysian trumpet snails and they have done a massive clean up! I can't even tell that I had a problem before i put them in :)

i looked in my tank this morning and realised that my male guppys tail has split for some reason......do they heal up again? if so how long does it take? do i need to put any medication in the tank to help?

Maybe I didn't mix it runny enough. But as I left it on top of the fish tank it was getting warm and the condensation was running off the lid to the tub but maybe it still wasn't enough to make it moist enough. I'm not sure if I'm going to try again.....
