    COLOSSAL Amount of Stringy Poop

He couldnt have been constantly eating though. So most of that was just inside him for some time. I knew ours is huge but It's crazy how large the intestinal tract is even in such small animals!

    COLOSSAL Amount of Stringy Poop

First off wow, pretty sure my fish is going to die. Based on the rate of excretion it looks like this happened over the course of a few hours. He is acting normally otherwise. I confirmed it is poop and not a parasite. I'd like to know if this is constipation and if so what treatment is...

    DGD In Honey Gourami?

Thanks for this info. You'd think websites would state this explicitly, but everything I read either didn't cover this or just talked about dwarf gourami. I won't be getting anymore gourami in case there is a virus going around. Can you please tell me what you think about the first picture...

    DGD In Honey Gourami?

The one remaining Red Honey's dorsal is white with patches of red. Based on pictures I have of my others, they did too.

    DGD In Honey Gourami?

Tl;dr - Is it possible for Honeys to get DGD? Does the attached image accurately represent DGD? Over the past few months, I've been buying Honeys and "Red Honey" gourami from my LFS. I wanted to buy Dwarfs originally but I was warned off by users here (thanks!) due to the prevalence of DGD. The...

    Fish Injury Identification

Well just in case, here's some pics of the other. I also just remembered two other times I had fish with physical wounds, albeit nothing as severe as this. I can't find anything that mightve fallen on him. I just can't imagine how he got so badly hurt.

    Fish Injury Identification

Oh man that is a good question. Just looked at pictures of both and minus the colors they look virtually identical. How can you tell the difference? I'd like to know so I don't make a mistake buying them in the future

    Fish Injury Identification

After looking more, I think this was an injury from physical trauma. The dark spot in my second set of pictures is noticeably larger and darker, which I'd think indicates internal bleeding. That would also explain the rather rapid health decline. I'll look for anything that mightve been moved...

    Fish Injury Identification

Since I posted this, their condition has deteriorated rapidly, and I made the decision to euthanize the gourami. While incredibly sad, this did give me a chance to take very clear pictures. Hopefully this will help me find out the cause and give closure. The tank is asleep right now, but if you...

    Fish Injury Identification

Hello, I have a 29g tank with cardinal tetras, two honey gourami (one red), 5 pygmy corys, a clown pleco, shrimp and assassin snails. I have a gravel bottom, driftwood, and a mix of live & fake plants and two fake logs, one floating. Something happened to one of my gourami within the last 20...
