I'll be spending the weekend catching the pond snails then, hopefully that's the issue and I'll add an extra root tab to those damaged ones to see if that helps with the yellowing. Thank you all for the help!

If it is potassium deficiency how do I manage that? Additional root tabs or different liquid fertilizer? No sucker fish in the tank, there are bladder snails but I've never noticed any on the leaves or any damage to any of the other plants

Do you dechlorniate water before adding and add same temp water? Have you tested the tank water and not just tap?

The only fish I would say for the 25l would be a single betta, just as mentioned above- shrimp would be a better choice. There are quite a variety of color and red would look great in contrast to green in a planted 18l

On seriouslyfish they reccomend a 60cm X 30cm for a single pair. I believe that's a 25 gallon. So I would say a 25 or 20gallon for one individual, which would give you room for aquascaping😄

Garlic juice contains a natural chemical which helps with fish appetites. You could soak his pellets or crumbs in the juice for a bit and see if that can inspire him to eat, which will help with balancing his diet

One example is snails can carry ich but not be sick themselves, they are able to transfer illness like you said. If its been healthy alone for 2 months I don't see a reason to quarantine it again unless you placed new plants or other inhabitants with said snail in the two months. Aquarium...

I've had great results with seachem flourish root tabs, they don't leech into the water column either. Just be sure to not disturb near the tab site during vacuuming. On amazon they're relatively inexpensive
