IMO  - Round tanks arn't as good as square ones as there is less surface area for oxygen. This also means there is less oxygen at the bottom of the tank I believe.

Should be fine. I had mine in with Platys, and another tank with a Betta in with neons. neons were fine.   Platys depend on the individual fish. Might be fine, or you might find the platy is aggressive - no way to tell until you try. It's a 50/50 thing. Some people do it, some people cant.

I think MTS got me long ago. 6 tanks in the house currently.   Loving the look of the first image Techen, not keen on the others.

Yus, I hope he survives. He's definetly the largest.   Oliver is perfectly fine (: He gave me such a guilty look earlier when he made his sleeping leaf dirty. I brushed it off and he settled down. Haha, I've got quite a character with him, he's nothing like my mothers Betta!

Yeah. I think there might have been more originally, but the fittest have survived. (Certainly one died, havent seen others.)   I didn't have the set-up for breeding properly, so I'm letting nature decide on this one. I do like the half black half orange one though. Im rooting for him/her!

What a rarity! Just read this whole thread, and am loving your Betta. The small fins make him look really cute! And with the 'walking', well, you've got yourself quite a character.
