Quick update on the tank, I have had a BGA outbreak, after adding micro fauna and flora bacter AE. most of my shrimp have died due to getting ill from the BGA. I am planning to do a black out on the tank.

you can keep them, never had much of a issue, just add some mineral stones so they can get extra calcium.

correct me if im wrong but inst aquarium salt just normal salt.

sorry, I know nothing about gourami behavior. it might be an infection your water seems fine.

be careful of the khuli loaches jumping out the tank

I had fish as a small child but they always died and after much tears, I moved on and didnt have any fish until 2 and half years ago, I facetimed my uncle while we where in lockdown and I saw his fish tank he was keeping to stay busy. I then went out and bought about 1400$ of fish tank equipment...

the scape is coming along nicely just waiting for my bxyla japonica to arrive, and the rest of the hair grass. I had an out break of diatoms over the weekend and they covered most of the hairgrass, ive done my best to clean them off. @itiwhetu see pics above

cant go wrong with a seachem tidal filter, they are a bit large, but they work amazingly.

think about hornwort super easy for cover, great for guppies, pearl weed is the fastest growing stem plant I know of and provides tons of cover.

Ive got a juwel 240L, and I am looking for a good centerpiece fish, which is not a discus as they are to big for my tank. the tank has no hardscape and dwarf hair grass carpet, as well as some blyxa japonica, as a center piece mixed with J. repens for texture. think this but much worse:
