Thanks man. I had a quick chat with my girlfriend before she went off to bed, and she told me that she had treated the eggs in the breeding tank with Formalin and placed the wire guard over the cone, and everything looked good. So fingers crossed.

They should be a nice bright red colour. I would say that the brown ones have possibly been thawed and then re-frozen(not a surprise from P@H). I would stick to buying the ones from you lfs from now on.

Had to nip to Beirut this morning for a few days, bit of a last minute thing, but should fly back home next weekend. In the interim I have left my girlfriend fish-sitting. Asked her to send me any updates, and I have just arrived from the airport to see she had sent me some pics of love action...

No mate. I just break off little chunks about an inch square and let them eat it from between my fingers. Try not to drop it in as they end up knocking it under the wood and then I have to fish it out.

Mark, They were grown in that tank. Lots of small feeds and water changes. My water change schedule is, to be honest, dependent on what I am up to. When I am home I do 50% 3 times per week. When I am away, I think my girlfriend does it once or twice a week. They are mainly fed frozen blood...

Sorry mate, i have been away. You need to feed them Metronidazole. Can be tricky. Also you need to find a source of Metro. i use the capsules, pull them apart and sprinkle the powder on a block of frozen blood worms. As they thaw they will absorb the metro and you can feed........do for a week

Your LFS should have packs of frozen blood worm. He should really enjoy eating them. If you have a health food store nearby see if they have Spirulina powder, and sprinkle a little on the frozen blood worms before feeding and let them defrost. As they defrost the spirulina will stick to the...
