I'm quite new to all this but I bought 4 fox's (1 died on the way home??) and the 3 I have cleared up the algae very quickly and are great fun to watch!! I didn't want to get them as I thought they were ugly, they are now my fvourite fish in the tank! :nod:

thanks for the replies - 1 of the danio's did the hiding trick yesterday morning - only to reappear - so I'm hoping it will have done that again!! The other one is undoubtably dead! I will however search the filter tonight - what an awful thought, a fish being in there!!

thanks for all of your replies, I turned the nozzle round last night so it now disturbs the surface and the fish seem so much happier! All the levels are fine, I will do a partial water change tonight and look into one of those kits! Thank you so much - I can start to think about stocking it...

hi, hope somone see's this as I have the same query too, I haven't added an air pump as the local fish shop said it wasn't necessary - but my filter works underwater - therefore not breaking the water surface in any way, is this ok?? :huh:
