I have 8 goldfish iin a 700 gall Koi pond. One of them appeared to have a fluffy white growth on its flank, but was impossible to catch. I later drained the pond for cleaning and separated out three goldfish which looked odd. No1. Good colouring and otherwise healthy but for small blisters...
