    Kribensis Fry

Many thanks for your reply mate. I'll give that a go. I'll clean the existing media into new tank, then the filter will suck that up & cycle the new filter media. I'll then give it a day to settle, then do a water test, & if all ok I'll put the fry in. I'm not too worried about the growth...

    4500G Home Aquarium

WOW, I want one. That is amazing. I'm VERY jealous. It looks amazing, especially as he can get into it & swim with them too. Although I wouldn't fancy doign a water change :) Pete

LOL, I know. I haven't really picked the gravel colours tbh. The Roma 125 that the Kribs are in at mo was gonna be my partners eldest daughters tank, & she chose the gravel etc, but she moved out & we ended up keeping it. My partner picked the new tank's gravel, bless her :) Well, I read the...

Omg I Could Cry Everything Dead! :-(

Really sorry to hear this mate. Finding one fish dead is gutting enough, but the whole lot......well, it's beyond words. Maybe sort the water out in the tank & then move some fish from another tank into this one, so it doesn't look empty. Might help ease your mind off it a bit. Hope you get...

    Zebra Danios

Hi Bluegills, What other fish have you got in the tank? Are there any signs of damage to them, like fin nip etc? How many Danio's in total, & are any female? I don't own any Danio's myself, but most fish tend to act the same in certain situations. Regards, Pete

    Kribensis Fry

Pic of the Female Kribensis with her fry, just hatched. As said, it is not a very clear one, but you can just make then out if you look underneath her. She had 50 or 60 I think, but it doesn't look that many in that pic. Regards, Pete

Will do mate, thanks. Hi mate. Thanks. We have some guppies in the small Aquael Pearl 40 tank & a few in the Roma 125, but you can't really seem them in pics of the Roma 125 tank. We might move them all together in the Roma 125 at some point. Yes, the fry are small, bless em. They were even...

    Kribensis Fry

Thanks David. Yeah, depending on what goes in the tank, ornament or fish wise, colourful gravel can really set it off. But you are right, we do like colourful gravel :) Yes, I think this is wht she has lost ger colour, as she doesn't want to mate yet. Thanks again David, Pete

    Kribensis Fry

Just as a side note, does anyone have any idea wh the Female Krib is hiding? It has only been a few days, might be a week since she laid her eggs, so I'm guessing it is because she is not ready to mate again yet with the Male. Or, maybe coz she has been seperated from her Fry? She has also lost...

    How's This Stocking

TBH, someone like that doesn't deserve to own a fish tank. As said above, it is not fair on the fish. If you can't be bothered to look after it, don't have it. Give it to someone who will.

Ok, as promised, some pics. First, is the small Aquael Pearl 40 Tank (40L). Please excuse the condition of the water. I have not done a water change for a bit. Second, is the Existing Fluval Roma 125 (125L). Again, please excuse the condition of the water & gravel as I have not done my...

    Kribensis Fry

Well, I was going to clean the existing filters in the new tank, against the filter media, along with some of the water from water change, but then thought a water change & filter clean might upset the existing tank. Yes, I did think about moving all the other fish to the new tank, but the...

    Kribs N Shrimp?

Brine Shrimp tend to be Kribs favourite meal, so when they get older, I would be inclined to say yes, they would eat the Shrimps.

    No...why Me.!

I have a Roma 125L & it came with an internal Fluval U3 filter. It is really good & doesn't take up too much room in the tank. The carbon & sponge filters inside are really easy to clean too. It is a very nice size tank. I'll get some pics up soon so u can see it with the internal filter.

    Neons Dieing

I would take a sample of your water to a local Aquarium specialist & have it tested. They will give you advice on what to do to resolve the issue aswell. You can self-test if you have a master kit or similar. You may find your Nitrate or Nitrite level is too high. You can get chemicals to...

    Kribensis Fry

Hi mate, Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I was a bit unsure of using the existing water to cycle the tank "instantly" as said by a couple of the companies I spoke to. I do have the smaller 40L tank, but the filter in there will suck them up. Good luck with your breeding Kribs. They are amazing...

    Kribensis Fry

Hi Minnnt, Many thanks for your welcome & your reply. I did speak to someone at the Japanese Koi Company in Henlow as it is fairly local to us, & we were looking there at the tanks to buy one. I told him the existing 125L tank was due a water change, but didn't want to do it while the fry were...
