The three that I have so far all appear to prefer to hang out by themselves. What sort of numbers would you recommend?

I am familiar with some and not others, I am trying to get as much colour as possible and I appreciate it is difficult to judge a lot of fish from one photo but none of them are particularly jumping out at me as being attractive. Hence looking for specific recommendations which I can check out...

I would say more trumpet shaped but the larger ones have a red colouring. I've attached an image but it's very hard to get a good one of them, I'll try for a better one when I get home from work. Thanks for your replies so far!

Tank is cycled, had been home to the oscar for the last few years. I've never tested for GH, we don't have hard water where I'm from (ROI). My ph is 7.5-8 iirc. I don't know what type of snails they are, they are tiny and appeared when I took a cutting of a friends plants for my own tank.

Long-time member, and not much of a poster but returning to the site after the recent sudden death of my Oscar (this was almost in tandem with a snail infestation - related?). My Oscar was in the tank alone so I am looking to re-stock my Vision 260. Since the fish died, I had my LFS test my...

    Black Ghost Knife Fish

Sorry to bump the old thread. I have a BGK for about 3 or 4 years now, he's really tame, will swim among my fingers when in the tank and is a really active fish. Mine is 5" in length and I have him in my Vision 180 with a brittlenose and another catfish. I'd like to add some other fish but I'm...

    Fixing Juwel Light Bar.

Thanks for the long reply! I've checked the plug and everything is fine there. One of my bulbs does have black staining on the ends of it, I'll try get to a LFS and have them try my bulbs in one of their units. I'll also check the connections at the end of the bulbs. I think the connections at...

Well, if I push the wires in really hard they seem to be staying in place, connected it all up and turned it on great - light worked! Was downstairs with the light on for about 90min and no problems. Came down about an hour later and the light had gone off again. If I switch it off and leave it...

Top one is the new one, I can fit the fires in easily but I don't know how to get them to remain in place. Think I'm happy enough for which wire goes where based on the two diagrams.

My ballast came today but despite being the exact same part number the connectors are different. I'm fine for the blue and brown wires but where should I connect the others? Pic attached (compare with old ballast above). http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/132/imag0164x.jpg/][/URL]   Will I...

Well I've the replacement ballast ordered but I'm 99% certain it's the exact same one. I have the wire that connects to No.2 taped off separately so should be fine, it was just the wires for no.s 1 and 5 that I got mixed up. Any tips for how to get the old wires out of the connectors? It doesn't...

    Fixing Juwel Light Bar.

Right so finally got around to getting my ballast out today (1st pic). I couldn't get the wires to disconnect from the ballast so I had to snip them in the end, my connectors look slightly different to the ones shown previously.(2nd pic) Also, I had numbered the three wires connecting into the...

    Fixing Juwel Light Bar.

Thanks for that, I'm in Ireland so mm is good for me! So the Vision 180 I have has 25w T8 tubes so I'm looking for a ballast to work with those. I had a look at the light unit just there, how much of the plastic will I need to cut open? What size roughly are the ballast units? I'm not sure how...

    Fixing Juwel Light Bar.

How goes it all? I have just got the same problem with my Vision 180. The bulbs I have are both Arcadia FO25, 750mm bulbs, so this is two 25W bulbs according to here:http://www.arcadia-uk.info/product.php?pid=11&mid=10&lan=en Does this mean I have T5 or T8 bulbs and more importantly does anyone...
