    Coronavirus...post your thoughts here...

My situation this morning..... I manage a facility that trains athletes of all levels, from HS to Pro. 5 of our soon to be NFL athletes tested positive for covid yesterday, as well as 1 of our trainers. This morning I received an text that 2 more of our trainers as well as an intern woke up with...

    WhistlingBadger found

As in like, the president of India? The term ''Indian'' is considered derogative by people of Native American descent. And a Tribal Elder doesn't necessarily mean that he is ''the chief''.

Christmas Trees. It is Christmas where is your tree

This is our little tree. We lost our 7 year old niece Sophia in 2017 to pediatric brain cancer (DIPG), and our little tree is always in remembrance of her. She loved butterflies and her favorite color was blue. This is the 2021 edition of the Sophia tree. We like to go small as our home isn't...

    Manzanita in tanks?

If there is still red on the outside of the branch then it means that it has not completely dried out yet, at least in my experience. The stuff that I collect has been drying in the sun for years. In fact, there are pieces on my side yard that I had been eyeballing in the wild for years before I...

Would you trust this? Chip in tank glass

If it is at the top, then yes, I would buy it and trust it. If it is on a seam, then yes, I would buy it and fill it in my garage, where it couldn't pose any real risk if it burst.

    Manzanita in tanks?

There isn't going to be a ton of bacteria on a bone dry piece of manzanita that gets sun baked in dry 100+ degree temps for over 100 days a year, in a bone dry arroyo. If I had collected it from a wet creek, then I would worry about bacteria. The only thing I worry about on this stuff is air...

    Manzanita in tanks?

It is illegal to collect unless it is deadfall, in other words loose dead branches removed from the ground by natural process. I get mine from a few drainages that I know of that are full from slides, floods etc.... I just make sure that it is dead and dry as a bone, then I rinse it off with a...

Whats the best Hang on Back (HOB) Filter

@Dajuyu the impeller should be replaced every 5-10 years, but that is to be expected with any filter that uses an impeller.

You seem to be very critical of the vaccinated person with a case of the sniffles that you think you contracted it from. The big question is, were you yourself actually vaccinated?

    Maybe a bit creepy!

A friend gave it to me years ago as a joke, thinking that I would never wear it. Well, I called her bluff, didn't I? :) I have seen them on Amazon. Search for ''sublimated hamburger T-shirt''.

    Maybe a bit creepy!

This is me, about 30 seconds after crossing the finish line of a 100 mile footrace in Arizona 3 weeks ago. It took me a bit over 24 hours to finish. Not my best 100 mile finish, but I did wear my best shirt for the last 20 miles of it

    The Tea Lovers Thread

I am not a tea drinker, but every few months my wife and I get together and visit our former neighbors, who are an elderly couple from India. Coffee Lover’s Corner Next to the Tea Room

I do have a Keurig and will use this stuff early in the morning before I go running. I only use it because my local Starbucks is closed at 4:30 am. I prefer the term ''use'' because coffee to me isn't an enjoyable beverage, it is a tool that I use to be a functional human.
