    Sick Mollie

Hello, i'm by no means an expert, but i've found loads of info on fish diseases on google, with pics which may help you find the problem. Also, i went to a fish store, and there were loads of diffrerent treatments for various problems, fungus, parasites etc. Heard that adding a little aquarium...

    putting together a Hospital Tank

Really good topic! Does anyone know where to get reasonably priced tanks (10 g) in the west mids? The set ups seem to be much more expensive over here, or am i looking in the wrong places?

    Schooling suggestions

Thanks for your thoughts! Yeah, as soon as the tank settles down properly, i'm going to add some more peppered corys to go with my lone one dave. Like you say, he is very busy and a small group of them would be great to watch!

    Schooling suggestions

I would appreciate any ideas on an attractive schooling fish to contrast with my neon tetras. The idea being to have 2 schools of 6 (ie. 6 neons, 6........). I've been researching and window shopping and like the glow light? tetras. Also, would they get on with each other?

    Remove me from this forum

Just adding my bit - as a newcomer to the hobby, my posts are mainly beginner questions. If i knew the answers to the other posts i wouldn't hesitate to help, just as i have been helped. Again, as a newbie i have no complaints here :P and will be posting more questions! Oh and by the way...

    Enough filtration?

So the consensus is to get another fluval 2 plus. Wouldn't it be ok with a fluval 1 to (make up the remainder of the volume) or similar sized, or doesn't it work like that? Do i just put the other filter in and run as normal? While i'm in asking mode, I was reading an old post, and read that...

    Enough filtration?

Hello, The tank setup below came in a kit from my lfs. I went to another one today and got talking with the fish man there. He told me that the fluval 2 plus filter was not enough for the tank. Said i should get an undergravel filter, and this would sort my tank out properly. Was he right, or...

    Bettahex

Hello, don't know if i will spark a debate or not, after reading about the bettas being sold in cups :( , but after looking into getting a male betta for my community tank, i've decided for the health of all parties concerned, it would be better if i didn't. I do really like these fish, so i've...

    Floating frog

Probably another beginner mis-worry, but i introduced a dwarf frog to my tank yesterday. All day he hid in the plants. Today, he is floating at the surface, getting blown around by the filter's wake sometimes he is upside down and doesn't seem to care. He is alive. he kicks out now and then. Is...

    New tank fish types

Thanks for the advice! didn't know that the bettas were that dense - even i can tell the difference between them and lace gourami! The tetras seem to be doing well, should i stick with them or change things. The ammonia is 0, nitrite still a little high, can't remember the numbers off hand...

    Gasping neons

Update: 2 days later, the water cleared, the fish started looking more like themselves. :D Tested water, ammonia was 2 Nitrite was off the scale! Now both levels are almost right. Did a small water change as suggested, made sure filter was on full. Oh, by the way, I treated myself to an air...
