Yes it was cloudy i took them pics just after cleaning it out, its cleared up now, am just going to pick kids up and then al test ammonia again, we have had problems with water going cloudy since we got the tank xx

Thankyou very much for all your support, i understand somewhat more than i did this morning, i shall keep on reading till half 2 when i shall retest just so i can see if i am helping them, i sorted the vac, i was scared of rocking the water too much so was bein soft lol but av done it now...

I am struggling to use the vac, any tips? it says shake up and down vigourously for a few seconds but i cant seem to do it right :(

You know the funnel bit at the top of the filter that blows the bubbles out? well that swivels round and we had it facing glass side so there was a gap at the fishes side, it got stuck in that gap, just incase it was a problem i have turned it to the middle now :good:

Ok am back, haha 4 pet shops and 2 1/2 hours later i think i have everything i need now, and my test results are as follows : PH = 7.2 High Range PH = 7.4 Ammonia = 8.0 Nitrite = 0.25 Nitrate = 5.0 using the api full kit i havent done any cleaning yet but am about to start, so from the above...

No i don't have a gravel vac, aww thats awful 2 of my dead fish were stuck in the filter n i had to pull them out, its awful n one had a slit in its side i was nearly sick. Is there different types of gravel vacs? My cousin said the gravel i have in the bottom is too big for my tank and also...

I tell you what i shall go get a kit and then i will be able to get more accurate help it seems, i don't mind the costs to be honest i am guessing it will cost me more in fih and i don't want to just keep killing fish till it works that isnt fair on them and yes i may not have had the cleverest...

This API master test kit, is this to be found at the likes of Pets at Home? Also you say do a 75% water change, where do i put my fish when doing so, do i leave them in? Do i need to warm the water up before putting it into tank? Many thanks for your help
