I think i've fallen for my Glowlights now though lol May get some x-ray Tetras if the Guppies don't make it through the treatment. Me definitely a Tetra freak now lol

Have just read that after a course of Ich treatment that it's good to give the fish a dose of Melafix to help them on the road to recovery. Is this a good idea does anybody know ? does it really help get them back to full strength ?? Have never used the product before so want to be sure.

I have a shoa lof Neon Tetras and a shoal of Glowlight Tetras and they are very peaceful fish. Have not noticed any of them nipping or even attempting to nip any of my other fish.

I use that particular one. You just squeeze the blue part and it starts the siphon. An absolute doddle to use. Don't even need to move it around much for the waste to lift from the sand. From my own personal point of view it makes cleaning really easy. Love it !!

The no Nitrates is odd. Even after I did a 90% water when swapping substrate over I still had Nitrates of 10ppm. I don't think my Nitrates have evr dropped below 10ppm and that's with regular weekly 30% water changes.

Touch wood they are both doing fantastic !! In fairness to P@H the whitespot came in on a White bodied Guppy i put in. Really hard to see it on such a pale bodied fish, I had to use a magnifier to check. All the fish I have got from my local P@H are really healthy and the Gouramis are thriving.

I just googled the heater and it looks pretty good.

Looks like a decent enough heater. Should of only cost about a tenner though, but if it sorts your problem out then it's money worth spending.

I used the same one you have pictured to cycle my tank and all was well. When the bottle is shaken you can get a few bubbles but they disappear instantly.
