Thanks genesis, wasnt sure on the gallons
Nick, yes it is the structured background, i really like it, much better than off the roll backgrounds which have no textutre of depth and the fish like picking away at it, i assume at algae growing on it
Ive been doing lots of work on my tank. Ive planted it alot more heavily. Removed the Juwel filter from the tank as it was ugly and took up too much space. Ive added cold cathode moonlights. Ive also added a DIY co2 system which has made the plants grow like crazy Have to chop some of them back...
I say get millions of neons, 50+ atleast. 10 neons in a tank the size of yours will look lost. Got some Harlequins recently, they are lovely little fish too, infact pretty much agree with everything Nim has said above. Corydora's are lovely little fish. An obvious one is platies in some really...
HeHe, i know it well, the missus would only let me get a biube/biorb as she liked the look, they can be good but are a bit fiddly. In the end i convinced her otherwise and bought a secondhand rio180 for less than the biube cost brand new :)
I had a biube for 6 months and never bought a new filter, just squeeze the old sponge out in dirty tank water at a water change, saves a few quid and add new carbon.
Id be wary of changing the substrate for anything finer as the filter sucks water through the substrate at the bottom, anything...
Yup i use stress coat and stress zyme, i'll keep treating them, ive done a 40% water change tonight too and given the gravel a good clean, got an external filter going now as well as the external so i'll keep an eye on them
Fingers crossed :)
Hi there, i have been treating them for 7 days with esha exit which was recommended to me at my LFS. Increased temp from 24c to 27c, i'll raise it a bit more over the next couple of days. Have been doing 10% changes every day and have got plenty of circulation and air going thru the water
This...
Yeh the top picture is exactly what my neons had and my betta, my platies and angel dont have raised spots, they dont look like either of those other two photo's.
I'll try and get a picture for you
Thanks
After some more advice, lost all but 1 of my neons and the remaining one isnt looking too happy. A few of my other fish have developed spots on their finage but not their bodies. My female betta had what i assume was whitespot but now looks mostly better, the spots she had looked like grains of...
They dont look too bad, i suppose the spots do look like grains of salt. The most poorly of them has gone slightly pale in colour but has not gone silvery, still has its colour, the rest of them all have a nice bright colouring. Ive added some aquarium salt to the water. Havent got any...
I have got 10 neon tetra's in my tank. 2-3 look ill. One in particular has stopped shoaling, is breathing very rapidly and his tail looks frayed and a little white, he is just hovering in the same spot. The others that i believe could be ill have either a slight fraying of the tail or the odd...
Hello all, Got a gorgeous blue betta who i love to bits, he has such a nice temprement. My problem is that i have just got a 180Litre tank and this has to be my only tank (replacing 2 smaller tanks) and im worried about introducing him and stressing him out as i believe they find too much space...
