Yes, you put it within 6" of any plant I believe it is. I generally put one right underneath each plant though.

Tabs work great. My Swords are all growing like mad. Best results are to use both tabs, and liquid fert though I have found. So, I put tabs in my substrate with all my plants about every 4 months, but I dose liquid SeaChem Flourish daily.

So. I went to go put some powdered brine shrimp in there. I clutzed, knocked the lid off, and pushed the edge to far into the water, both little guys got out. They made a 8 inch dash for freedom, and were promptly eaten. :( I did attach a pic of the fish form just a few minutes ago.

I mean, that's what I do when I go fishing. But mostly because I don't have any better means. I know its a very very fast death, and probably only a millisecond of pain. I was just wondering if there was a less traumatic method that is painless.

Water flow goes a such. My sump has a water change system / auto top off system in there, I didn't bother to illustrate. Both pull water from the 15 gallon reserve you see on the side there. Chiller is in the black cabinet off to the side.

Its just gravity fed from an overflow in the tank that sits above it. pump pulls water out at the bottom of the sump. sends it out to a chiller, and then back into the tank at the top, where the overflow also is.
