oh.....bugger :crazy: . I thought (& so did the LFS staff obviously) that the males have the colouration while the females are duller? I take it that's not always the case?

Picked my 3 cockatoo up today :drool: they're amazing - no fear at all, just went for a wander round the tank straight away - the male already seems to have found 'his' territory :lol: I've spent more time watching them than doing anything else today :blink: I'd highly recommend these for you :D

Did the tests 12 hours afterwards & things look to be back to 'normal' yayy :D . Ammonia back to 0, pH is between 7.0 & 7.5 & nitrites are showing again, although only at 0.8 mg/l. Staying RIGHT on top of it all now - want some fishies...........

OK - the pH has gone back up to between 7.5 & 8.0, and the ammonia after 30 minutes is reading at 4.9 - when I test again in 12 hours do I just test for ammonia & nitrites, or pH as well?

The KH has come right down - it's showing pretty much 0, nitrates are showing at about 200mg/l I'm going to start on the water changes now & try again tonight - fingers crossed :sad:
