Well they have eaten all of the eggs. :-(   I had come to expect this anyhow. The new tank is coming along and I should be able to move some fish in there shortly.

I am adding ro water but not putting any buffer in it. I did a 10 percent with the ro water, perhapse I should do a bigger one to get the nitrates down.

The tap water nitrate level is about 40-80ppm, I'm not sure what it is closest too, and I have no way of measuring the softness or hardness of my water. :-/ Do you think it could be a possibility that, due to tap water conditions, it is impossible for me to keep these fish anyway?

Hi all, I was thinking of getting a Juwel rio 240 in the hopes of being able to keep some German Blue Rams in the future. Wow, it just hit me how big a deal this is. I wish I came to this forum before I decided to even get the tank. All this time I have been enjoying the beauty of the fish, whilst all the time it has been overstocked. I am so ashamed! Thanks for that calculation snazy, that really slapped me...

Kind Of New Tank, And Some Questions...

Hi eaglesaquarium and thanks for the reply. Your advice confirms my suspicions, however my mother is giving me grief about me being obsessively worried and over concerned for the well-being for my fish. Various arguments she presents to contradict my concerns are: 1) The pet shop owner has...
