ok kiddo, i think your neons and glolights can handle being in the 50 gallon tank with everything else. the sick neon is probably on its way out, but to prevent spreading disease, leave the sick neon in the 10 gallon, move the others out, keep doing water changes and see if it improves.

i notice that this isn't the only fish you're having problems with. are they in the same tank? what size and what fish do you have in this tank? also, what is your maintenence routine?

last time i fed was 4 days ago, and it was a very small cut of prawn. can they recover from this? should i treat for internal parasites and hope that it's not blockage?

every time i get up close to my tank and look at my severum, my oscar swims as fast as he can to bump the sev out of the way and say, "look at me! look at me!"

it's a worthless tank. fish need horizontal space, not vertical.

they'll work if you boil them first.

it comes with the mechanical filtration (almost never need to replace, just needs rinsing) and i filled the other trays with bio media. with canisters its never necessary to buy their specific media because they have easy to load trays. only maintenence i do is rinse the mech sponges once a month.

i've only had the rena filstar canisters. you can find them online very cheap and work really well.

if it's just a little scrape, it'll be fine healing on it's own. you can add some stuff if you want, but you don't need it.

there is some source of air getting into your filter. if you can stop the air getting in, or remove the air, you won't have the problem.
