    Mollys Keep Dying

I honestly couldn't tell you, I examined them but they seemed fine, only to understand a little stress due to the high occupancy of the tank they were in..

    Mollys Keep Dying

Probably a good idea...relatively new to livebearers, mostly only have kept koi, bettas, and arowana in my days haha

    Mollys Keep Dying

I use test straps so I don't have exact numbers, but I know mollies aren't particularly demanding. Didn't think about ammonia, I still have yet to get straps for those. However, I figured if nitrites were down, it would be safe to assume ammonia is down, too. pH - 5.5 to 6 gH - 75 to 90 ppm

    Mollys Keep Dying

I'm a relatively experienced fish keeper, however in the past year I have moved into a new home out of state and haven't kept fish up until the past month. It's a small, fairly basic setup, however, I have mollys. It's my first time keeping livebearers other than guppies, but since I've gotten...

Of course! Totally forgot about these 😂😂 Been installing the full RO systems for all the houses I've lived in, just for the sake of auto-filling 😅😅

Oh dear God Tap water issue.... help

Oh yeah man, that's a huge bummer...not even sure if an apartment would allow you to install one of those. Good initiative to call the city, though! The only other advice I can give is temporarily only doing maybe only weekly 20% water changes, just filling 5 gallon buckets, conditioning and...

    Molly Fish With Hunched Back?

Dang, that's weird...honestly I don't know what to say other than it's possible it did skeletal damage, and as it's grown, it's gotten worse. Just a theory, I don't even know if like the fish jumped out of the tank or what...hopefully someone else here has a better answer 😅😅

Oh dear God Tap water issue.... help

Honestly if you're in your own home, I'd recommend just installing an RO filter 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Can i make my own nitrogen?

I'm curious as to if it would help to just not have the filter on 24/7?

Can i make my own nitrogen?

Yeah, I got the fertilizer substrate thinking that might help a bit. When I've help plants in the past, it really just wasn't enough to keep them bright and green haha, couldn't ever figure it out cause I was too busy caring for all the other tanks 😂😂

Is it safe and acceptable to use hydrogen peroxide on BGA?

Hey mate! I had a hugeeee BGA problem in one of my tanks and I was fearful of killing my fish. Instead, I just took all the plants and decor out of the tank, and soaked them in hot water with a couple table spoons of peroxide. This seemed to help a lot. However, it came back, due to the...

Can i make my own nitrogen?

I'm a novice fish keeper, and had about 1500 gallons total back in my old house, but I've since moved for work. It's been about a year and I want to try my hand at a small planted aquarium. However, my local store doesn't sell nitrogen diffusers. Would I be able to create my own nitrogen by...
