Hiya - mine was doing that the other day, and the day after (which was yesterday) she "flattened"...presumably gave birth whilst I was at work!... I'm no expert mind...she might just be constipated or something!

Hiya, my pregnant molly has suddenly become very flat (whilst I was in work) :( , and no sign of anything moving around in the tank. Over how long a period do they actually give birth?! Might she still have a few to go??... THanks in advance for your help guys, you've all been so good to me so far!

Gills look ok. I watched a female guppy poo earlier (how pleasant!...) - it started off white, but by the time it became 'detached' it was a normal colour. So, when it was a "free swimming poo", it was half white, and half brown -_-

Not really - it happened quickly(!) The only thing I DID notice (with the second one) was that it had a cloudy eye (which developed very quickly)

Aaaaaahhhh! I HAVE pointed the filter output upwards so it creates a water disturbance - bubbles etc...could that be enough to change the pH? (I don't have an air pump)

Yup, and yup... Ammonia - 0, Nitrite - 0, Nitrate - 10, pH - 7.4, temp 26C I ran down to the lfs after work today (just about made it before they closed!) and did a 20% water change and treated the whole tank with some stuff the lfs guy gave me. To be honest I couldn't say whether it was...

Yeah, similar question...: I bought some bloodworms in a sachet the day before last. I've kept them in a tub of water in the fridge, and now there is some greyish growth in there with them. Is this just poo, or could it be 'disease'? Should I be separating this grey stuff from the worms before...

Will the pregnant molly 'behave' differently towards the end of her pregnancy...should I look out for tell-tale signs of some sort?

Mystery semi-solved. Found a stiffy underneath a broad leaf. I say 'semi' 'cause I'm one of these people who "want to know why"!! :-(

Odd...I read this yesterday, and lo and behold, today I arrive home from work to find my very own pregnant (I think) guppy missing! I've checked the plants and the filter, but to no avail. Where the hell is she?! :-(

She was fine this morning, and now I can't find her! I've had a look between the plants, I've emptied the filter, and I really can't see her. Could 3 mollies and 2 guppies completely devour another guppy in a matter of 8 hours?! - That's all I have in the tank... :-(

:cool: In that case I may have to run a nursery! One of my guppies is also pale yellow...and although I've never really seen a gravid spot in 'real life'...it's almost identical to some of the pictures some others have posted! Very "tidy" pregnancy, if she is, though!...that's how I want to...
