How big is your tank. The Tahitian moon sand is cheaper. The B&Q stuff is £5.98 for 1.8kg. The moon sand works out at roughly £2.79 for 1.8kg. ( I think i've got my sums right, I hope so or I'm going to look like a right idiot lol).

    Tank Mates & Stocking

20-50 guppy's is nuts with all that is in the tank, as is 2 severums in that tank, as is 4 clown loaches and everything else on the list. You say the guppy's are feeder fish, the BGK won't touch them at the size it is @ 2 inches. They are slow growers. Just empty the tank and start all over, and...

What Fish Need 2 Be Rehomed!

People will still think your crazy, when you buy a fish you should think about the size it gets fully grown, not the size it is when you buy it.

Learned My Lesson, Question On A Hospital Tank

I can't see to much of a problem with that sized tank, the fish are only going to be in there for a couple of weeks. I've got a 6 gallon clearseal tank that I use for quarantine, never had issues, and it saves on meds only sing a small amount.

    Laptop Keeps Crash Dumping?

If you go to www.mediafire.com, you can upload the files there, and then post the link of the files to here. It might be easier to put them in a zip fole. Highlight all of the files together, then right click on them, and there should be an option like add to archive or something similar. You...

    Laptop Keeps Crash Dumping?

If you go to this location: C:>windows>minidump. There should be some files in there with .dmp on the end. If you can upload them, and i'll have a look at them, it may give some better clues into why your system is doing this.

    Med Question

If you look at this post, http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?s=&amp...t&p=1953575 it says can be used in aquariums with seawater invertebrates. I read another post on another forum (not allowed to link to it), saying it didn't harm any inverts in this persons tank, so I guess it would be OK...

Dilema - What Would You Do?

    Fish Tank Leak

I should imagine the joists in a loft would need supporting to hold the weight of the tanks from a fish room. Best way to find out would be to get a structural engineer round and see what they said. Best to check with the insurance company as said above, last thing you'd want is an entire floor...

    Neon Blue Ram?

Can't find anything at all about "Neon Blue Rams". Was it a German Blue Ram relabelled. If not, I would suspect it's a dyed fish. Did the colouring look natural???

    My Tank

Thanks guys. The wood came with the tank when I got it, the large piece in the middle has a cave inside which the clowns hide in when they feel the need. I'm going to change the background sometime soon, not to sure about the black though. Might also get some fake plants if I can find some...

Clowny Behavior, Anyone Else Have This Issue

I find my clowns do it all the time. Real fun to watch when all 3 of them are doing it together. It's funny when the lights are off in the tank, and they lay on their sides playing dead, someone will say to me one of your fish is dead, then they get a shock when it swims off!!!

    Cae's

When younger they can be OK for a community tank, and will eat algae, but when they get older/larger they will get a lot more aggressive and defend their territory. It's also know for them to also stop eating algae and get a taste for the slime coat on fish. They may also kill smaller fish in...

    Position Of Filters In Tank

The best way to clean the filter is to do it in a bucket of tank water or dechlorinated water. If you run the sponges under the cold water, chances are the chlorine in the water is going to kill of the beneficial bacteria, which could then lead to ammonia and nitrIte spikes in your tank.

    My Oscar! -.-

I don't think goldfish and oscars will go well together in a tank as the oscars are tropical, goldfish coldwater. The oscar may be a bit funny at first, may take a few days for him to get use to the new surroundings.

How Do You Train A Dog To Play Fetch?

I think it depends on the dog. My dog bobby, a whippet, has no desire whatsoever to play fetch, he'll run, as whippets do, but play fetch, never. I don't think he would ever be taught, just not his thing!!!
