    Used 125 Gallon Bought

Yeah as Soaup sais another 20 maybe. Mbuna are smaller fish and a higher number reduces there aggression. You could add more of the less aggressive ones such as the Labidochromis Mbamba and maybe some other less aggressive Mbuna. I'd also add the Aggressive Mbuna last as a safe measure. :D

    Bought New Tank

ANother good suggestion is that you research the fish you want to get before you get them because if you just go to your LPS a lot of the time the employees don't really know much about African Cichlis and sometimes about any fish. :/ :)

    New Tank For Chichlids

Yes 50 gallons is plenty for a Mbuna community. I'd first decide what you like best and then ask if those fish would work. Mbuna are small and aggressive and many will work in a 50 gallon. Another good thing to do is research what kins of Mbuna you can get your hands on. Good Site for profiles...

    Malawi Set Up

Well I know a lot of people who keep loaches with their Africans and have heard no "horror" stories. Also what type of Malawi are you gonna keep? Haplochromis, Aul. Sp. , or Mbuna? Mbuna likes a nice rock pile and are my personal favorites. As for the rock limestone will bring up the pH not all...

a few quick questions on my tank

Yeah just do African Cichlids in there IMO they're are better looking and one of the hardiest types of fish.
  33. F

    Lamprologus caudopunctatus

Shelldwellers need a tank that is wide since they live on the bottom. You could try maybe a trio (1 m 2 f) of multies and see how it goes but, keep in mind you might have to return one female if aggression gets to high.
  34. F

    leleupi behaviour

Yeah that is most likely fighting between males over a territory. How big is your tank?

    Need ideas

There are also Pseudotropheus Long Pelvics which are pretty peaceful. http://www.exotic-cichlids.com/P.%20sp.%20...lvic%20hara.htm http://www.exotic-cichlids.com/P.%20Zebra%...vic%20Mdoka.htm
  38. F

    Lamprologus caudopunctatus

Whats the length and width of the tank? Shelldwellers need a lot of room on the bottom and in most cases a 10 gallon can only house a pair.
  39. F

    need ideas for new tank

Even though its a cube you'll be able to make some kind of a cichlid work. :)
