    Corydors CW 012

I don’t know if you have a pet at home near you but they sell them a group of 3 for £10 whereas other fish shops are a lot more. My local pets at home have really healthy ones as well. they have albino, copper and pepper ones but the bigger the store the more they have :)

    Ammonia & Nitrate

I just found out who my supplier is. info: Calcium 123 mg/l Total hardness 310 mg/l Degrees German 17.36 it’s says my water is very hard. Is that bad for a Betta? If it is what can I do to soften it?

    Ammonia & Nitrate

Oh yes I remember GH because I did have testing kits for those (alongside other stuff). I cannkt remember the exact number but I know my water is very hard. It was the second to last colour on the spectrum. But my Betta has been thriving in that type of hardness for around 6 months now. I will...

Also what is GH and KH? Never heard of these before! I feel bad I was adding a lot of that water purifier stuff with my Betta in there. Could that have harmed him?

    Ammonia & Nitrate

I did have 2 Corydoras as well maybe that’s why? and I’m not sure about any of the parameters I need to buy testing kits! But I do use the same water for both tanks. Once I get testing kits I will let you know everything. When I put my Betta in there he was okay but I noticed he was hiding...

    Ammonia & Nitrate

I have an ammonia testing kit but not for nitrates and nitrites. I’ll get into buying them! I have a tetra water conditioner but I will get the API one. I have this API thing that gets rid of cloudy water shall I use that after I do a water change because my water goes cloudy after a water...

    Ammonia & Nitrate

Hiya! I added an old cycled filter when I first set up the tank and I added food to allow it to rot as well. The pet shop told me I might have added too much food. Is that correct? thank you xx

    Ammonia & Nitrate

Hi there. I’m fairly new to the hobby (about 6 months in). I recently purchased a 56L tank and I thought that I had cycled it before. I waited 2 weeks and parameters were all perfect. I added my Betta fish into it a few days ago and noticed he was started to clamp his fins. I immediately put...

    Albino Corydoras

I’ve noticed! I’ve had my Betta for about 6 months. He’s my first fish! Absolutely love him. They originally told me that 56 litres is too big and they even laughed at me lol. One even said I can put him with a female! Glad I did my own research. thank you for your help!

    Albino Corydoras

Ahhh okay thank you so much. wish I did this research beforehand. I find that pet stores don’t tell you the right information and I should’ve known that before purchasing the corys. I love them but I originally wanted the 56 litres for him! thank you for your advice :)

    Albino Corydoras

    Yes the tank is cycled

    Albino Corydoras

Hiya! I’m not sure of the dimensions but it is long rather than tall. Good floor space for them. I wanted to put my beloved Betta in there because I wanted him to have more room! Why do you suggest that I don’t put him with the Cory? Will he be aggressive? He wasn’t aggressive when I first put...

    Albino Corydoras

I recently purchased albino corydoras. I bought three of them and sadly one of them died. He seemed pretty lethargic from the get go. I should have done more research before purchasing them and I recently found out that having a group of five or six is better for them. I should have done more...
