I think my blue eye is in love with the filter nozzle

Hi all Hope all is well?! So I posted a few weeks ago about my blue eye guarding around my filter. He would chase the other fish away from it then go back and check up the filter. Well we have moved on to rubbing and fluttering his body up the output nozzle. He will go away come back and do it...

Can you get photos of what is going on in your tank for us hun? Just went through columnaris about a month ago in my main tank, It was traumatic to say the least. I’m upgrading the shrimp tank

I have caridina’s and neo’s. When I had the big blow up from poisoning in their tank months ago, my cycle was pretty much gone. My little neo’s that I had left went through huge levels of ammonia and nitrite and still went strong to the end. Such hardly little guys. My caridina’s are a bit more...

    I’m upgrading the shrimp tank

As we know they are such delicate little ones. Do you think I should let the tank settle for a week before I move them over? I will be cleaning new sand and filling and also fresh de chlorinated water using prime. I will add one of the sponge filters from the tank and other bits and pieces to...

    Ammonia Spike/Cycle Crash

I had this a few months ago. Mine was poisoning and I lost majority of my shrimp. I gravelled cleaned and 80-90 percent water change for about a week and my cycle crashed abit from everything that happened. I stopped the gravel cleaning but continued the water changes daily around the same time...

    Swords and guppy babies

Okay that would be my reason for more males then. I did have my temp sitting at 26-27 degrees but turned it down to 24 degree to fight the columnaris disease and have raised the temp to 25 degrees since. Maybe I’ll get more females this time round

    Swords and guppy babies

Everyday they change that little bit, it is so exciting to watch. I have a whole heap more babies that I’m waiting to colour and be able to gender. I seem to be getting more males out of the breeding tho so I’m abit worried that they are going to out do my girl ratio very quickly.
