    PolyFilter in a Fluval 307

I mean the genuine PolyFilter that removes nasty stuff. I have just bought some Biohome mini bio filter pieces 1kg and put it in the top tray of my 307 as well as 2 PolyFilter pads. I got rid of the carbon altogether. So I now have 2 trays full of bio media.

    PolyFilter in a Fluval 307

I hope I have posted in the correct forum, if not please move. My question is where in a Fluval 307 canister filter is the best place to put PolyFilter? I was thinking of putting it in the top tray where normally the carbon is.

    Seachem Safe

I just ordered some Seachem Safe. According to the product label it removes ammonia, yet on the back of the pack it says it only detoxifies ammonia. I feel the front label is misleading to say the least.

    New Camera

It just occurred to me, that you may be confusing auto focus with motorised zoom. If that's the case let me assure you that both cameras I recommended have auto focus. In fact they have the following: Full auto mode where the camera sets everything for you and all you need to do is zoom and...

    New Camera

Both the s9500 and the s9600 both have a manual zoom only, which is a big plus in my book. I find a manual zoom far quicker, easier, less noisy and better on battery consumption.

    New Camera

The trouble with the Lumix as far as I'm concerned is the motorised zoom. Personally I wouldn't have a motorised zoom camera thrown at me, they simply aren't fast enough and have the added drawback of using too much power from the batteries.

    New Camera

I don't think they are a little dated at all. I can only talk from my experiences and both the cameras I recommended will do what you want and a whole lot more and do it very well. In particular, the s9600 has an optical zoom range 10.7x.
  34. howard_hopkinson

    New Camera

Personally, I'd recommend the s9500 or the s9600 models. This is because both those models have a manual zoom which is far better than any of the motorised zooms of the others. Not only does it make zooming quick, it also saves a lot of battery power. I have owned both the s9500 and the s9600...
