    Mudskippers In The Uk

Everyone here in Northern Ireland seemed to have them during the summer but I havnt seen any for a while. They may be seasonal but any specialist fish store should be able to get information on them for you.

    Help Me Decide - Please

Yeah Im not sure exactly what filtrations on it at the minute, there are several large filters as the water quality for the Koi had to be kept tip-top but I havnt looked that closely yet. At the minute its just an idea, no concrete plans are in place.

    How Long

    1. The filter doesnt remove chlorine, you should have used a declhorinator, there are different brands, 'aqua plus' etc. Used as directed these work instantly. 2. I take it by the flow you mean from the outlet of your filter? This isnt too inmportant, I put it just under the surface so that it...

    New Tank Advice

One piece of advise I can offer quickly is that larger tanks are (surprisingly) much easier to care for than smaller ones. The larger the body of water the more dilluted any pollutants will be and so the less stress (which leads to death) your fish will be under. If anything goes wrong in a...

    Help Me Decide - Please

Thanks for advice Themuleous, I am hoping to do this, save myself money, help out someone stuck with a big fish and most importantly give a fish a better home. I say fish because I've seen people looking to rehome many fish but I've never seem snapping turtles for rehoming, they arent to common...

Expanding To Full Aquaria / Marine

Its unfair to comment on the entire PetsAtHome chain in general other than to say that they could probably offer greater support in training staff and ensuring all their stores look after their fish to an acceptable degree. Thre are probably stores who are lucky enough to have good fishkeepers...

    Help Me Decide - Please

Sorry I havnt been on in a while, the pond is already built, its indoors and was used by my father to house koi in the past but I want something a bit different. The dimensions are 19ft x 12ft x 4ft, plenty big enough I think! Yeah the running costs when heating is added could be a problem but...

If they were small enough to be swallowed whole by the goldfish and there no longer there then it doesn't exactly sound like a big mystery to me.

    External Filter

I use Eheim myself but there isn't much difference, depending on your size of tank and type of fish £50 may not get you a great one though. If you have a smallish tank or just small community fish you would be fine but if you were keeping anything larger or predatory I would get the largest one...

    Help Me Decide - Please

I plan to buy a specimen fish/turtle to house in a 6' tank before moving it into a tropical pond, can any body offer me advise or personal opinions? What would you keep? I was thinking snapping turtle or red tailed cat hence they are the choices of the poll but I am open to suggestions

    What Substrate Would You Have?

I'd go with the white sand with seashells cause it would fit your brackish theme, also if its coral sand itl raise your pH which provided your water isn't already high will benifit the fish you've mentioned.

    Adding New Filter

HI, If the noise can be put up with I would leave the three running for at least a fortnight. You could probably get away with a week or even less without losses but if the tank has a heavy bioload I would give it the extra time so as not to take any unneeded chances.
