Is algae it harmful to them?

So are they platies or mollies?

And also I've noticed when they were in the smaller aquarium they would go to the surface to breathe and now when they went into the bigger tank I never saw them do that again is that a good sign? And thank you for your replies I'm so grateful.

ohh, i wish but there's nobody here in this country that wants it, there are no fish rescues and barely any people who love and care properly for there fish in this country, and the best care it gives is sugar gliders and cats that what its obbssed with but i promise you i will do best.
