SO this is long overdue, but the guppy that I brought home from college died when I went on vacation and had someone watch him.

How far do you have to go? Are you taking a vehicle? If it's less then a 40-minute drive they'll be fine if you use a durable plastic bag with lots of air inside. If they are being transported in a fish bowl make sure to keep stirring the water (or just agitating the surface) to provide oxygen.
