Red Zebra and Cobalt Blue Zebra what sex are they?

not sure. i know the egg spots have something to do with it.
i think the more they have determines the sex.

Look a bit small to tell. I think that the more pointy dorsal fins mean male?

I would say they are both males.

...you've been shopping at petco, haven't you. there are some pretty serious issues with your tank, which i would not be shocked to discover is the result of misinformation on the part of whoever sold you these fish.

(1) there's no such thing a truly freshwater moray eel. there are brackish morays that can live as babies in freshwater, but once they hit about a foot, they'll stop eating if there isn't enough salt in the water.

(2) your figure eight pufferfish is also not suited for a freshwater aquarium and should be kept in brackish water.

(3) both moray eels and f8s are predators and not suitable for a community aquarium. your f8 may limit himself to fin-nipping, but could easily graduate to eye-gouging and fish-killing. moray eels are piscavores--they eat fish. if he's hungry or if someone just looks at him funny, you could easily find yourself waking up to a bloodbath one morning. perhaps you'll get lucky and the moray will attack the puffer first; of course, they'll both die as a result. the puffer will be chomped to death and if the moray survives the puffer's attempt to choke him by puffing, then he'll die from the toxins in the puffer's skin.

(4) finally, 55g is completely insufficient to keep all of those fish at their adult sizes. i suggest that you research each of the cichlids in your tank and determine which ones you can house properly. i also suggest that you rehome the remainder.

your african cichlids are beautiful and if i recall correctly, perfectly suitable for a 55g malawi aquarium. perhaps that would be the best choice for you to pursue, since i'm guessing you like an active, colorful tank of mildly aggressive fish. otherwise, i know convicts and the pictus cat are fine to keep in a 55g and possibly the auratus. the green terror and severum i know are too large as adults.

yes i know all of these things. i was going to change the eel and the puffer to a brackish tank after they got alil biger. Last night i got to thinking and i dont really wanna do that. to much trouble. i just want one tank for now. so im going to take them both back when i go next time. why do you say that my green terror and severum is too big. they wont grow to there full size with other fish in the tank. or will they?

They probably will, and if they don't, they'll be stunted, whioch has mich the same effect as binding chinese girls feet with added early death and diseae.
