how long does it take for an angle fish to get to about 4in

wow thats soooo nice i would love an angel fish but dont have enough room and was told they get to aggressive when larger

Angels are some what aggressive. But if you raise them from babies they get use to what is in the tank with them. I keep angels and I dont have any problems with them at all. Just when they get ready to spawn then they get a little mean towards each other and they keep the other fish away from thier eggs and the fry also. But that is the only time I have any trouble...

I'm not sure how long it takes for them to get to 4 inches, but 2 of mine got from 1 inch to about 2-2.5 inches in less than a year.

I have had some problems with the new one. I tried to get a female, but i now think it might be a male, although its not pairing off exactly. It is chasing the others and has nipped fins on the smaller two (my originals). However, they have calmed down a bit in the last 2 days so i'm hoping they will get better and all get along.

does the silver angle in the pic have a bit of fin rot? The tip of its fin looks kinda ragged or was it from fin nipping

its fin has always been like that really, don't think its fin rot as that pic is about 6 months old
