Are you sure she has eaten it? I would think it is more likely that she has just pulled bits off it and made a mess.

But, keep a VERY close eye on her, if she starts to look unwell at all or does anything unusual (not eating, drinking more or less) then you must get her to an avian vet ASAP. But i honestly dont think she would have eaten it... My birds are always chewing things into bits..

I know birds like to chew up things but they hardly ever eat it. I think it should be ok,, Just do as Jessica tells you to do. She is awsome with birds.

Call your bird vet. While it is likely that she just ripped it up but didn't ingest it, I would never risk assuming. Exotic animals do not usually show symptoms of ill health readily as it goes against survival instincts; by the time they are sick enough to show it, it can be too late.

See what your vet has to say. In the mean time, clean his/her beak off, and read the candle's indications to see if it is non-toxic or not.

RandomWiktor - The problem is that there is very little the vet could do... As you know, birds are very sensitive and one as small as the little parrotlet i wouldn't imagine any vet would risk doing anything, they'd just tell her to wait and see i think. By all means speak to the vet on the phone but i would strongly advise NOT putting the bird through the stress of being taken to the vet. She needs to just be put quietly in her cage and just keep an eye on her. Make sure she has food and water available, but i really think she'll be fine :)

Fingers Crossed!!
