well, I odered overnight shipping, which took 24 hours, then the post office on campus Bungled majorly which took another 23.5 hours, which angered me to no end. I was impressed by the quantity of live rock, I expected dense material but this stuff fills almost the whole tank. Half of it was in small bits, the size of two fingers or smaller, but the other half was fairly good sized, I think I should have pulled out my sand and set in the first layerthen added the sand in again but I can do that later, after the curing process goes a bit and I can see what I have, I think I got a little bit og halameda wich is great. I'll post more and put up some pics after the water clears.

Sounds awesome! I've never ordered LR from liveaquaria, but did get some corals and a fish that I've been very happy with.

here is the initial setup. I came in and put in another little arch and made the one up front alot more secure. I also saw a little red fanworm today, hope he makes it throught the curing process. Live_Rock.jpg

Recommendation...I would get the live rock off the glass. Not only will it help you with your maintenance, but, more importantly, with the Nano Cube history, I wouldn't place added pressure on the walls. If you leave it that way, algae and coralline will build up on that one side and obscure you view. Another reason is that you are blocking circulation/flow and creating a dead zone. This may be a setup for future cyano. JMO. SH

Its not acctually touching the glass, its just really close. well way in the back two pices touch, but thats al.

Noted..before you start getting into stocking, I'd test to see whether you can get one of the following down the side:

a magfloat
a hand with credit card
a long handled algae scraper

Make sure you are getting flow thru there as well. Trust me...as soon as the wall gets covered with either coralline or that really fine gritty green algae and it becomes opaque, it will be a pain to move the LR.

I'd still get that rock off the glass. It's not worth the risk with a JBJ NC. Just a friendly recommendation. SH

alot of waste will build at the base of the rocks. Try making sure they are not flat on the ground.

I love the aquascaping you have created. If you can get into the areas mentions to keep the glass clean then all is well. I personally would get a scraper such as SH has mentioned. Get a good cleanup crew and good circulation so any build up on the floor can be dealt with quickly.

I saw just a glimpse of a green worm about 6 mm in diameter I thought it was a caulerpa runner and went to pull it out, it hid in its hole again.

Unfortunately I had a bit of a rockslide and need to redo some of it. :(

Heres a shot of the new layout, I'll try toget a better one soon, its mostly the same, but the arches arent as big and arch like

I'm going to get some epoxy soon so that I can glue it all into 5-6 big chunks. so I don't have to worry about moving it, I'll also be able to make it a bit more "Vaulting" which will helpit look more like it did.Live_rock_II.jpg
