Guess What

Ferrets today, I was looking in the Kentucky.com classified ads and I just happened to run across the ferret section and they was the most adorable looking ferrets I have ever seen. But the stupid lady that I got them for has been keeping the outside in a cage and they were flea infested. I had to drive almost two hours just to get them. I was so mad when I saw the, little fellows When I got them in the car I made my my boy friend drive and I pick fleas off the ferrets all the way back home. I was tired and so were the ferrets. I will be taking some pictures of all of my babies soon. This makes me 6 ferrets now. I love all 6 very much I wish I could have 20 more.

How long had the lady had them? Were they left outside during the winter? I guess she didn't know,or maybe care, they are sociable animals. Its great that you have them now & will be able to offer them all that they deserve!

They are so sweet I just love them both. Upon bathing them and getting the fleas off from the poor things I found thier tails both were broke at the ends of them.. But they will never need for nothing again. I will post pictures in a couple of days I have to take them to the vet to make sure they are nothing wrong with them, I dont want my other ferrets to get sick I have to be very careful.

Glad to hear you've rescued them; sounds like you got there in the knick of time! People do not seem to understand that ferrets have been domesticated for hundreds of years, and can not survive outdoors. My first ferret, who recently passed, was literally thrown - no carrier or anything - at the front door of a dogs-only shelter. He was full of fleas, had mange, sunburn, a gangrenous foot, and was badly emaciated. The people must have kept him outside; how else does a ferret wind up with SUNBURN?

Definately a good idea to keep them away from your boys and girls until they see a vet. I don't know if your guys have thier distemper vacs, but if they don't, they shouldn't be exposed to any outdoor animals, particularly other ferrets. Though, the fleas alone should be incentive enough, eh?

I will take some later on today. They are such sweet hearts.. I love them so much already. You should see them thank me for getting the fleas off from them, They had thier dinner last nite and I gave them a small drink of my coke, I know you arent suppose to give them coke but I do ever now and then for a treat, I will be taking them to the vet in the morning to get thier shots and be checked out good...

I am sure they will.But I have safety measures I have to take on my own. With my other babies. I am going to try to get pictures of all six of them in a few minutes, I will let you all see if they turn out right..

Here is one of the ferret that wouldnt let me get a group picture this is cookie This is all of the ferrets for a while. But I just wanted all of you all to know I love them two I got yesterday just as much as I do the rest of them now..

The white looking one is Slick and the other one is Max. They are truely the sweetest little things I have ever had the joy of owning, How someone could sit these little animals out side and let them get fleas that bad in my book they are a sorry excuse ot a human being...
