very nice, I buy my driftwood from the same dude on eBay, as a matter of fact that piece looks awfully familiar :grr:

there is another piece that looks very simialer on there right now. the only reason that I went with this one was cause 1 I liked it and 2 cause nobody else seems interested right now..... but there are tons of pieces on there right now

okay here is a pic of berts current digs....... everything in there is plastic and bert did the arrangements.... hence the reason y everything is plastic.

I thought the same thing about a piece last week, it had 2 minutes left with no bids so I thought what the heck I'll take it, I placed my bid at $12 and within a minute and a half it soared to 33.00

here's my favorite piece that I've got so far, the detail on the side that's not showing is gorgeous, I'll post tank pics some day

by the way.....where's bert?

I'm interested, juanvaldez. I just don't make it in these forums much and if I do it's only to look at 1 or 2 threads.

I like it. What kind of fish is Bert?

bert is my adult male JD he measures about 7-7.5 inches right now. he used to be housed in a 29 gallon that I bought to breed guppies for my pirhanas till they died and I made the decision to get some Mbuna and some Aulonucara Maisoni and I had them housed in the 55 till I got my 75 and put them in there and so now bert finally has the 55 to himself.

hey guys I thought that I would give you an update on the 55 gallon. today I got a huge piece of rock it takes up about half of the length of the tank. for 30 dollars!!! I defenatly think that it is worth the price. and bert seems to think that it is great. I did see some sand in the store as well but I wasn't sure of it cause it said that it was ocean sand and I didn't know if it would have marine salt in it or what... can somebody educate me on that subject. and also on the price it was 20 pounds for 25 dollars

sweet rock  , I'd by-pass the ocean sand and go for some play sand or filter media for pools. I use both of those, the play sand that I have is actually river sand from the Brazos River so it's a mixture of sand and fine gravel, really awesome...I bought it at a garden shop for about 3 bucks per 50 lb bag. I love it so much that I'm currently removing the gravel from my 29 and going for sand in there too :p
