Does anyone know an online store where you can buy Kritter Keeper's, that aren't expensive? Also what size should I get? you know, for a single male betta.

I like petco better...
Petco
But they sell the same product.

I'm going to REP my favorite place again lol...that's right...ThatPetPlace :D......

Why pay $13 for something smaller then you would pay $9 for lol.....just doesn't make sense to me. Plus the shipping is $7 for orders up to $25 and then gets more expensive the more you order.

Shipping on this item alone is $7.29. I only paid $8.55 for 15lbs of gravel, a filter, a heater, some cricket food, and 17 plants. (So that means you can order more and still not get charged a huge shipping price :D)

That Pet Place also has a great selection of gravel and silk plants. With the gravel it will bump your shipping up to $8.55 and they will ship it seperate (but they don't charge you 2 shiping prices though). I bought 15lbs of gravel, a 20gal filter, a heater, 17 plants, and some cricket chow and my shipping was $8.55.

So they have great shipping pries there as well.

**edit**

While looking at supplies for my toadies I came across another great option

This one is approx. 5 gallons and comes with a divider..so you coudl make 2 2.5 gallons homes :D.

Ooooh, I like that Herp Haven....hmm, looks like it would fit on the top part of my desk.....two more males.....

:hyper: I just got my Herp Havens. They are ALOT bigger then I expected...I guess I just didn't envision them properly.

My betta boys I currently keep in the 1 gallon aquaviews are gonna think they died and went to heaven .

They are 11.75" x 7.75" x 8" which means they hold 3 GALLONS of water lmao...I had no idea. I was thinking they would hold about 1 1/2 gallons for some reason...what a pleasant surprise.

Tank Height = 11.75"
Tank Width = 7.75"
Tank Length = 8 "
Approximate Gallons = 3

I can't wait til Monday when I can take them to work and put my guys in them...they are gonna geta charge out of this lol. (ok ok I'm the one prolly that's gonna get a charge..but shhh we will pretend they do too lol)

For $4.99 each...tha'ts not a bad price..these same ones at *cough*PetSmart*cough* were $8 for the same size. Of course once you add shipping ($15) it was almost (but not quite ;) ) the same lol...but I didn't have to drive and get them either though :D.

I have two of the KKs shown in the last pic, except mine have non-metallic green lids and were $17. I guess they cost more here.. mine were the cheapest I've seen.

But they're great little tanks nonetheless - better than round ones IMO because you can see the fish at all times and they don't get distorted.

I only have one betta in a critter keeper - a male plakat in a 3 gallon one. I fill it to 2.5 gallons for easing dosing of medications and dechlorinator. He seems to really like it, and I love the rectangular, long shape.

I found this long, wide, shallow, see-through storage bin at the mall today that holds 10 gallons. Methinks I will need to experiment with a betta in this, and some live plants, once I move back home. It was only 6 bucks!!

Those KK are Good, But the Plastic does scratch easily.

I was thinking something similar, my nan had some smaller ones, probably 2 or 3 gallons, shallow (about 3/4'') and stackable. If I can get bigger ones, they'd be great  And so the tupperware hunt begins
