Question....why do you have 40 gallons worth of filtering on a 10 gallon tank? The current must be fierce in there -_- .

Nice looking tank you have there...but as before mentioned none of your fish are suitable for it, the red tailed black shark will outgrow it and the danios are far too active for a 10gal, 20gals is the minimum for a group like yours.
Maybe you should buy a larger tank for the danios and shark and just keep the 10gal for smaller community fish like some bloodfin, neon or glolite tetras and a group of corys or make the tank into a female betta community tank- the posibilitys are endless but your current stocking is not suitable im afraid.

Don't fret about the fish. Ive been procrastinating on the shark b/c ive had him since he was a fry and i worked so hard to keep him alive and well since birth. I will be giving him to lfs soon though :byebye:

The zebra danios im beefing up because they are so small, too small for my 30gal. I just noticed that there is an Otto on the glass  Last week I wanted to put all 5 Ottos that were in the 10 gal into the 30 gal, but i could only find 4, i thought the other had past away. I thought he was dead after i hadnt seen him in a week, but i guess not. I found him

As for the current in the tank, yea i know. When it comes to filtration i dont mess around. Although there is enough power for a 40 gallon the cureent is not strong at all. In fact there is just the slkightest amount of surface agitation.

Thank you all for the compliments and advice crew, i appreciate it :D

Sure thing! It's not he greatest quality though, im only working with the camera on my cell phone :dunno: , silly isn't it?

See what i mean about the heavy pruning?

I don't focus on the aquascape in this tank as much as i do for the 30 gal. Its mostly just a spare tank to keep spare plants. Like a kind of experimental tank you could say. I use Seachem Flourish along with some other trace elements that keep the plants in shape. As you can kind of see the algea problem here hasn't had much attention from me, I only wipe off the front of the glass. Im gonna let that one Otto stay and get orka-fat to keep that algea in semi-control.

Can't wait to get some pictures of my 30gal...soon i hope.

Just because there is little surface aggitation doesn't mean the current isn't mean. I have a 20 gallon whisper and it makes no surface aggitation at all...and it's turned all the way up..but when the fish swim close it blows them around lol.

even if the current is fierce, arent vebra danios supposed to be in a fierce current? i bet to them its like being on a tredmil all day, just in a watery version, its probly the eqivilent to a 50 gal i bet... :D

:D The feirce current is in my 30gal. When the fish poop it doesnt sink to the bottom, it just gets blown in circles until it hits one of my filters. :D

Plus the fish i have appreciate it.
