new to this site a few pics

hey everyone just checkin the site out havent been here before so im droppin in too see whats goin on.... readin the message boards and decided to post some pics of my 100 gallon reef....

i cant fit many pics on a post hmmm i think its my file size???

does anyone know how i fit more than one pic to a page lol how do i shrink the file size?

one more ... i have many more but hard to keep reposting

software im using ....??

i upload the pics to my comp on some photo shop software crop a lil then make then to the correct dimensions but my photos seem to have to much file space for the amount per post they are allowing me...

Hi and welcome to the forum! From the pictures i can tell you will be a very useful addition to the members here

Are you running 20k lights?



As for the photos, I recomend that you first upload them to a free picture host web page such as www.photobucket.com

Once they are uploaded to here you can simply use the link icon and post multiple pictures in a single post.

If you dont want to use links. I use my adobe photoshop on my computer and after I resize I save them as a jpeg file, the program asks me what quality I want to save as. If I use medium it reduses the file size enough to put several pics on one post. Sorry if this is confusing its awful late and my mind is jiberish.

Oh yeah HI I dont have any marine tanks yet for they intimidate me, I just like to peek at the pics, and your tank looks great. welcome to the forum I hope to see more pics soon.

thanks everyone for welcoming me and helping me out.... ill figure out the pic thing soon but heres a few more pics im tired and just wanted to share a few new pieces of sps i got ....

i hope i can be a help to anyone that needs advice or some answers not that i know it all lol but im sure i know some....

and yes im running 20K lights

i have 2 250W 20K HQI DE bulbs with PFO pendants and ballast under my canopy along with anotehr 200W of 10K PC retro in the canopy.... i keep it cool with a couple cpu fans i installed at each end of the canopy and a 1/3hp chiller....

i also have an auto top off system for fresh ro/di water refills and im lookin into a calcium reactor since dosing daily is getting tiresome...

i just want to get the tank totally automated so that all i have to do is feed and do some water changes.... its almost there but not quite yet....

im new to sps but so far the pieces i have gotten seem to be doing good....

heres the other one if anyone knows what these are called please let me know...
