BABY BAMBOO SHARK

CALUSA, heres a pic of a DAY OLD bamboo shark. the egg case is laying next to the coral an the shark is next to his egg. enjoy

Wouldnt it be cool to have an inground pool indoors so you can have a HUGE saltwater set up? Or is that possible? , or am I just crazy?...........OMG so many possibilities!!!! :O:O:O

Is he/she feeding yet. the one we had in the shop was quite difficult to feed but now hand feeds with no problem. beautifull fish. always wanted to keep a shark either bamboo or epaulet. not go room for a 6' tank though. good luck

CRIMSON, on the kiss- NO!, an as for fingers, YES keep them out of range, use a feeding STICK.
SRE2K3, YES SHE ate from the first day, not a problem, she inhaled anything that was put in front of her. her sence of smell is unbelieveable, aas soon as fod hit the water BAM ! she's out swimming searching for it.
GADZOBE, in the WILD they will get 3-4' most captive sharks like this UNDER PROPER CONDITION will get 3'.
MOUNTGUPPY, this one came from a wild pair, next season she will put the male /female together an go from there, usualy takes 3 years to be sexually mature, so they can live together for a while first.
that pic was 1st day. Ill get one at 5weeks old so you can see the growth,an change.

POINT OF INTEREST, she has been growing 1-1/2 per month she started out at 4-5" at berth, an is now 11-1/2" an a good 1-1/2 wide. next time I go over Ill shot another pic. here is where tank size comes into play. this fish at 12" in a 4' tank can only swim 3' not much space to swim ! so at 3' even in the 8x3x18 tank, she will some what confind, but still have room to turn around,when it comes to swimming. but they will be fine.
