I was at my favorite LFS again, and my eye caught something blue and white flashing and I was drawn to the betta section. Of course I was going to the LFS to get some thermometers for Synirr's children, and was not considering a new addition to my betta clan.
But one thing led to another and I came home with a VT. I'm just weak, ok! He is pretty and full of spunk, flared for quite a while at the thermometer I had to buy for him. His name is Siegmund, another character from the Wagner Ring cycle, a mortal from the second opera. Here are a few pics of him and his setup. The bowl is more than a gallon, and a temporary home until he moves with me to FL. Then he'll get a larger home. The bowl has a temp of 78, two live java ferns and duckweed. He also has a little cave. 
He shares the desk with Mime, one of my plakats.
