Hi- The glass cats get about 3 inches or so. Best kept in groups as large as possible. I had the best luck once I got 6 of them. The need good current and lots of cover to hide in, and will just sit there in a group, swimming "upstream" all day long. Sold them with my 125 last June.
That last picture though.....with the green barbs...how are those?
I saw some today at my LFS, and since I just acquired a empty 10 gallon tank I wondered if I might could get some for that, so I decided to try and do a little research on them. I think they are very pretty and I had never seen them before...kinda funny though, I looked in here and *poof* there they were lol.
They also had no idea what type they were, except that they were barbs...which I kinda gathered from the basic shape lol. Do you know the specific name for them? They were just calling them Green Barbs.
The shark is awsome, I also love the angels very much, Mean old papa eating the babies, Didnt you get to save any of them??You have some very nice looking fish.. also tanks
Thanks, Angellady and SRC. I never managed to raise any fry past that stage. Only have the one angel now- sold off 5 tanks and fish over the past 2 years so I'm stuck with only being able to have the one.
SRc those are green tiger barbs. Exactly like regular tigers. Minimum tank would probably be a 20g long with nothing else in it, except maybe some cories. Work best in groups of 6 or more. Very zoomy and nippy toward other fish.
